...get a snow day! We woke up Tuesday to a blanket of snow. Maybe more accurately, a "blankie", as you could see plenty of the lawn poking through. But it was enough to get Miles pretty pumped up. After Audrey went back down for her morning nap, we bundled up and headed out to play. The cold snow made the dogs frisky, they were racing around after each other and wrasslin'. Miles chased after them and stomped around until I started to get cold and enticed him inside with another snow day movie. We started Monsters, Inc. but switched to Nemo.
When Audrey woke we turned on the inauguration coverage. Regardless of your political beliefs, it was an important day for Americans and I wanted to have us all watch. It will be one of those "where were you when..." moments and now Miles & Audrey can say they were having a picnic in the living room on a snow day when the first African American was sworn in as president. Although Miles may remember it more for the motorcade, the instruments (Look! Trumpets!), and the Obama girls.
